August 17th, 1926.
COUNCIL CHAMBER
The Council met in regular adjourned session, the
Mayor presiding. Councilmen Barwick, Evans, Jelks,
O'Neal and Sundy were present.
A resolution was laid before the Council that the
proposal of the Florida Power and Light Company be accepted
subject to ratification by the vote of the City's property
owners. It was moved by Mr. Jelks, seconded by Mr.
Barwick and carried on roll call that the resolution be
adopted.
It was moved by Mr. Barwick, seconded by Mr. Jelks
and carried on roll call that a contract be drawn by our
City Attorney between the Irons Manor Construction Company
and the City of Delraq specif$ing the amount of money to
be spent by the City on the first unit of paving to be
laid.
It was moved by Nir. Sundy, seconded by Mr. Jelks
and carried on roll call that the Sanitary Committee
decide on that area in the City in which vacant property
is to be cleaned of weeds and debris.
Some discussion arose as =to whether the sidewalk
now being laid around the school property was going to
prove satisfactory and it was finally moved by Mr. Evans
and seconded by Mr. Jelks and carried on roll call that
the Street Committee examine the work and have power to
act.
The Council adjourned.
