November 22nd, 1926.
The Council met in regular session, the Mayor pre-
siding. All Councilmen were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and
approved.
After some discussion regarding taxes the Council
agreed to adjourn to Monday night, November 29th, for a
revision of the tax roll.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried on roll
call that the matter of assessment of the Nichols apartment
house on Lot 11 Block 115 and Judge Ellis' home on Lot 5
Block 3 Dell Park be referred to the City Clerk and to the
honesty of the owners.
The bond for Dr. J. R. Cason, Jr., bond trustee
whose office expired October 11th was ordered released.
As previously ordered by the Uouncil bids which had
been received for the current years legal advertising were
read to the Oouneil. It was moved, seconded and carried
on roll call that the contract be given to the wonderland
Developer and that on and after the present date that paper
be declared the official organ.
Current bills which had been referred to the Finance
committee were audited by that committee and ordered paid.
The Mayor announced the appointment of Dr. W. C.
Williams as City Health Officer.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF IMPROVE-
MENT BONDS FOR THE CITY OF DELRAY, FLORIDA, AGAINST LIENS
DUE SAID CITY ON ACCOUNT OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
SEWER IMPROVEMENTS was laid before the 6ouncil for its
second reading. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried
unanimously that the rules be suspended and the ordinance be
read for the second time by caption only. After being read
for the second time by caption only the ordinance was read
for the third time and in full. It was regularly moved
and seconded that the ordinance be adopted. On roll call --`
the vote was unanimous. The ordinance was therefore declared
adopted.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY,
FLORIDA, ORDERING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENT WORK was
presented to the Council by Mr. Jelks, of the Street Com-
mittee, who moved its adoption, the motion was seconded and
carried unanimously on roll call.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE
CITY ENGINEER FOR CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENT WORK TO BE
CONSTRUCTED AND ALSO THE ESTIMATED COST OF THE PROPOSED IM-
PROVEbiENTS, WHICH IS SET FORTH IN SAID PLANS AND SPECIFICA-
TIONS was laid before the Council by Mr. Jelks, Chairman of
the Street Committee, who moved its adoption. The motion
was seconded and carried unanimously on roll call.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE:CITY.OF DELRAY,
FLORIDA, ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN SIDEWALKS AND
STREET IMPROVEMENT WORK was laid before the Council by Mr.
Jelks, Chairman of the Street Committee, who moved its adop-
tion. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously on
roll call.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
DELRAY, FLORIDA, ORDERING AN ASSESSMENT ROLL TO BE/PREPARED
COVERING CERTAIN PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENTS was laid be-
fore the Council. It was moved by Mr. Barwick that the
resolution be adopted, the motion was seconded and carried
unanimously on roll call.
It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Evans
that the Florida Power and Light Company be instructed to
place three street lights on Dixie Boulevard in Del Ida
Park. The motion was carried unanimously on roll call.
A RESOLUTION DEFINING THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE VARIOUS COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL was presented
to the Oouncil by Mr. Barwick, who moved its adoption. The
motion was seconded by Mr. Jelks and carried on roll call.
The Oouncil adjourned to 7 :30 P. M., Monday, November
29th, 1926.
