The Domeyer petition of 798 N.E. 2nd Avenue was discussed by the Board. Dr.
Domeyer did not attended the meeting.
Mr. Nathanson questioned the reason for the requests and why siding was to be
utilized if there were no problems with the stucco structure. He also reported
that the application was incomplete in that color chips were not provided.
Mr. Mayhew reported the the area is the primary entrance to Del-Ida Park. The
improvements would be misguiding and out of character with the mediteranean
style of the neighborhood. Mr. Mayhew suggested developing a mediteranean
style roof would be keeping with the neighborhood. Mr. Mayhew also suggested
increasing the landscaping and clarification of the parking spaces on the north
side of the building.
Mr. Pompey concurred with Mr. Mayhew.
Mr. Nathanson also concurred with Mr. Mayhew about sending the wrong message
to the neighborhood and he also felt that the wood siding would be modernizing
the building.
Pat Healy questioned why the roof was put on with out the Board being notified.
The Board recommended that the petition be delayed until the meeting of June
9th 1988, and that the applicant be present. The Board requested additional
material such as color chips, paint stucco and retaining the shutters. The
Board also felt that the applicant should be made aware of the Districts
