Members of the Historic Preservation Board
In late 1988 or early 1989 Del-Ida Park wrote a letter advising
the P&Z and HPB that they had no problem with this property
being rezoned so that the building could become a dental lab.
For this project to continue under the conditional use that was
granted, there was to be a "finding" by the Head of the Building
Department. I requested it on Friday from the building
department, stopped by City Hall late Friday in case it had been
found. I have been told a "finding" in the form of a memo does
exist. I finally received a copy of this memo today. This
"finding" was to verify that 25% of the work has been completed.
I question that and others who have seen the property doubt that
25% of the work has been done therefore we believe the
conditional use of this building should be terminated.
The past Board of Directors and the current Board of Directors
of Del-Ida Park Neighborhood Association feel that a Dental Lab
in not consist with the Land Use Map and the Comprehensive Plan
that was adopted by the City last year. The property to the
south, west and north is zone R/L residential/limited and to the
west is zone R-1AA. There we would request that you deny this
application.
