The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Ms. Healy and
roll was called.
Mr. Nathanson made a motion to approve the minutes with correc-
tions of 9/1/88, 9/29/88 and 10/17/88. Seconded by
Mr. Mayhew. Approved.
Ms. Healy indicated that under Section V (Present Use, Condition
and Zoning) of the designation report for the Marina Historic
District a change is needed to replace "west" with "east" on both
No. 2 and No.3 of that section.
Mr. Mayhew indicated several changes on the designation report on
777 North Ocean. The word "Town" should be replaced with "City"
throughout the entire report.
Mr. Nathanson made a motion to approve the designation report for
777 North Ocean with corrections. Seconded by Ms. Finst. Approved
Mr. Mayhew made a motion to schedule the Public Hearing for 777
North Ocean at the regular meeting on November 18, 1988. Seconded
by Ms. Finst. Approved
The Board reviewed the C.O.A application for the Metz property at
1112 Nassau Street. Mr. Metz is proposing to erect a 3 to 4 foot
Victorian picket fence. Mr. Mayhew made a motion to approve the
C.O.A. application. Seconded by Mr. Nathanson. Approved.
Ms. Finst passed out a copy of the revised Brochure on the Del
Ida Park Historic District. All comments and or revision will be
heard at the next regular meeting.

Mr. Nathanson made__'a motion to adjourn the special meeting at
7:00 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Mayhew. Approved
Public Hearing - Marina Historic District
Ms. Healy called the public hearing on the Marina Historic
District to order at 7: 00 p.m.
Ms. Healy announced that all speakers state their name and
address and to please limit their comments to a maximum of three
minutes.
During the discussion period several residents came forth asking
the Board for more information as to what the designation of the
Marina District would mean to them as residents living within the
district and the effect on their residential and commercial
properties. Several residents stated their opposition to the
designation and several indicated their support.
Ms. Healy called the Public Hearing closed. Members of the Board
answered questions asked previously by the residents. Ms. Healy
made a closing statement and expressed her support of the desig-
nation.

Mr. Mayhew made a motion to pass the designation of the Marina
District to the City Commission. Seconded by Mr. Nathanson. All
in favor.
