will be a special meeting of the Council at
7:30 P.M., Jan 5th, 1925, to rescind a resolution
passed at the regular meeting of the Council,
December 8, 1924 calling an election for the
issuance of certain bonds and to take whatever
other action the Council may deem necessary in
regard to setting date of Bond Election.

Council met in special session, the Mayor
presiding. Councilmen Malone, Bundy; and Scott and
City Attonney Byrd were present. Councilmen O'Neal
was absent.
The following resolution was laid before
the Council
A RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE ACTION OF
THE CITY COUNFIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY, FLORIDA, ✓, ry
AND CALLING OFF SPECIAL BOND ELECTION `CO BE .HELD

IN THE CITX OF DELRAY ON JANUARY 7TH, 1925.
WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the
City Council of the City of Delray, that there are
practically no Bond Electors qualified at this time to
vote legally at the election called for January 7�
1925, because of the failure of said Bona Electors of
the City of'Delray to pay 1924 Poll Taxes as required
by law, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable., to the..best,;. ,.�,j
interest of the citizens of the City of Delray, that
said election be called off in order that the eitiz4A
of the City of Delray may pay 1924 Poll Taxes, which.
are required by law,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Delray, Florida, that the Bond
Election to hp held in the City of Delray on the 7th'
day of January, 1925, be and the same is hereby called off.
BE IT FLETHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City of Delray, issue a Proclamation calling off said
election and setting forth the reason why said election
is called off.
BE IT .FURTHER RESOLVED that all prior ,adt'ibn
taken by the City: Geuncil of the City of Delray, in regard
to said Bond election be, and the same is hereby rescinded.

ELFCTION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CERTAIN BONDS FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE, THE C A
ERECTION OF A FILTRATION PLANT, AND CERTAIN CITY -
PARK IMPROVEUIV TS &C.
WHEREAS, It is necessary and proper for the City
of Delray to meet the necessities of the progressive age and,
the constant demand of its citizens and tourists to build,,
and construct a municipal golf course and to
pu�ohase

suitable ground fro the building and eonstruCtien of
municipal golf course, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the best inteses'
and health of the citizens of the City of Delray, that ::i
suitable filtration plant be erected in connectioin with''^`
present water works, and that suitable equipment and eng
be purchased therefor, and it is necessary and essential
extend and further improve the water and light systela'of
City of Delray, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed most expedient and ease

in the way of building a band stand and constructing pa

with the General Statutes of the State of Florida's

of February, A.D. 1925, for the
purpose of canvassing the
returns of such election and declaring the results thereof.
The Mayor shall give
notice of such election by
proclamation as required by law,
by publishing a copy of
such notice in the Delray News,
a newspaper punlished in
the City of Delray, for a period
of four consecutive weeks
prior to said election.
It was moved by Mr. Malone, and seconded by
Mr. Scott that this resolution be
adopted. On roll call
the vote was unanimous.
Council adjourned.
