December 14ah.1925.
The council met3.~~ regular- session, the
b'Iayor presiding.
Before calling the council to order the P.~syor
administered the oath of office to Mr.];.>;.Barwiek,who
had been elected to fill the unexpired tern of Is.C.O.
Scott resigned. The Mayor then called the council to
order with councilmen Barwick,Evans and Jelks present ,
Councilmen OTNeal and Sundy were absent.
The certified list of Bond electors for the
special bond election of December 15th. was presented to
the council by the elerlt and it was moved by Mr.Barwick and
seconded by Mr.Jelks that the oouncil be placed on record
as approving said list and that the list be placed in the
Ballot Box On roll call the vote was unanimous.
It was moved by I%r.,Jelks,seconded by Itir.Barwick
that the offioial ballot for said bond election be approved `.~
and placed in the Ballot Box. On roll call the vote was ,,
unanimous.
The Council then proceeded to prepare the ballot
box which was sealed and turned over to the Chief of Police

who was directed to turn it over to the election inspeet=i>rs.
The council then adjourned until 3 P.Tvt.Thursday
December 17th.1925 at which time the results of the Bond

constructing and equipping necessary parks and playgrounds
within the City of Delray?

Shall bonds,not to exceed One Hundred Fifty
Thousand (~150,000.00)Dollars be issued for the purposes
of widening and extending .streets, construction of curbs,
gutters ,and sidewalks:
Yes - 81 votes
No 1 "
The following resolution was therefore presented
by P~r.Jelks, who moved its adoption.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DEL?AY,
FLORIDA:
(lst.) That the issue of whether bonds not to exceed
Two Hundred Seventy Thousand (y~270,000.00) Dollars be issued
for the purposes of installation ,and equipment of the
waterworks system and for the construction of a complete
filtration system and the extension and improvement of said
• water system has been decided in the affirmative.
(2nd) That the issue of whether bonds not to exceed
One Hundred Twenty-two Thousand 0122,000.00) Dollars, be
issued for the purpose of eonstraotion of a central sewage
disposal system has been decided in the affirmative.

issued for the purpose of installation, eonstruction,and
extension of the electric light system within the City of
Delray has been decided in the affirmative.
(4th.) That the issue of whether bonds not to exceed
Sinety-Yive Thousand 095,000.00) Dollars be issued Por the
purpose of constructing and eauipping necessary parks and

(5th.) That the issue of whether bonds not to exceed-

The motion of Py"Ir.Jelks was seconded by P+ar.}~ick
hand on roll call the vote was unanimous.
