The Council met in regular session, the 141syor presiding. 6 33l i> ~ Councilmen Evans, h4alone and Sundt' ^~ere ;' :present; Councilmen Kean and Swanson were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting wrere read and approved. The Clerk laid before the Council the app- lication of 1. George for the erection of an addition on the rear o£ his store building located on the 'hest 28 £eet of Lot ~, 31ock 101, the contemplated addition to be l0 x 18 feet, of metal lath and stucco with com- iposition roof, at an estimated cost of X200.00. On-motion by hir. Evans, seconded by LIr. Sundt', the Clerk was directed to issue the necessary permit. The Clerk called attention to the fact that '-~ ~ ',t~6o members of the Finance Committee were absent, and j !the IJtayor named 1l;r. Evans and &Lr. Malone as members of 'the Finance Committee,protem ,._ Current bills were laid before the Council ,by the Clerk, and nn motion of ISr. Sundt' were referred to the Finance Committee. After being audited, the L~ bills were reported back to the Council with the re co mm- k endation that they be paid, and. on motion of Mr. Sandy, seconded by r1r. Eirans, the bills were ordered paid on , P~~ roll call by unanimous vote. A motion of l;ir. Sm~dy, seconded by Pair. 'Evans, was adopted, authorizing the park committee to purchase a hand lawn-mower for use in the nark. A request from Dr. J. L. Love for per- mission .to •re-form his side-walk in front of his Drug Store was referred to the Street Committee with autho- 't rity to act. The Tax Assessor laid before the Council, tax assessment roll for the year 1924, with the state- went that the same had been considered by the Council sitting as an equdlization board on August 18, 19 and s 20, the roll showing a correct assessed valuation of X1,683,951.47. On motion of P~4r. Sundt', seconded by P;ir. ;~- Evans, the assessment roll, as submitted by the Tax !Assessor was gccepted and the assessor wsa directed to certify the roll as made to the City Tax Collector.
