The Council met in regulax session, the
IMayor presiding. Councilmen Byrd, Malone and O'Neal
were present. Councilmen Scott and Sundy were absent.
~1'he minutes of the previeus meeting were read
nd approved.
ir6r. Smallwood was present and recuested that
street light be put in on North Aiken St. The Council

It was moved by Mr. Byrd, seconded by Mr.
'Neal, that the Clerk be authorized to publish bids Yon ;:
id itional paving as incorporated in the ordinance~of
ugust 11, 1924, and July 28, 1924. On roll call Mr. Byrd,
. O'Neal and Mr. Malone voted in the affirmative.
It was moved by Mr. Byrd, seconded by Mr.
$Balone that a bill for X40.00 for sending rnz's. Wilson and
to Alabama be paid. Motion was passed on roll call.

On motion of Mr. O'Neal, the current bills,

which had been laid before the Council by the Clerk were ,-7
referred to the r'inance Committee for audit. 2'he bills
having been audited, on motion of imr. O'Neal, seconded
by Mr. l~4alone, they were referred back to the Council with.

the recommendation that they be paid, and on roll call
the bills were ordered paid by unanimous vote of those
present.
It was moved by Mr. Byrd, seconded by nar. U'Neal,,
that Greynolds and Monroe, who are oiling the County road
West o£ the City be hired to oil the two blocks o£ recent
paving on Atlantic Avenue between Swinton Avenue and bowers
Street. Motion was passed.
