Mr. O'Neal, Chairman of the 'oy'ster & Zight
Committee moved that the City's ~ etrica~ line~be'
extended about half a mil n ~ o~ Gulf Stream Go1P
Club-House, the (;ity to construct the line, and the Palm ~i
Beach Company to pay the entire cost of:construction, a
~ contract with The Palm Beach Company to be drawn up later. i
- Motion wea passed.
At this point Mr. C.Y. Ayrd presented his
resignation as Councilman, to take effect Jan. lat•; 192 {
On motion of Mr. Sundy, seconded by 2ir. O'Neal, the
resignation was accepted.

The Mayor then appointed C.Y. Byrd to, hold ';
office of City Att~rne~y at a salary of X35.00 a month`
take effect Jan. 1st, 1925: Tha nature and scope of M
Byrd's duties in this office were outlined in a letter
to the C~uncil by ~~ir. Byrd, and agreed upon by the. Coup
Appointment was confirmed by unanimous note on roll cal, ~~
It was moved by Mr. O'Neal and seconded b x6~ ,.~ ~,
~: Byrd,that a second policeman beemployed immediately and ~~~~.',
be kept as long sa may be deemed necessary. The-motion

It was mowed by Mr. O'Neal, seconded by Mr. Byrd,
that Tom Borland be allowed a salary increase to ~15Q:,QQ~-;~<4,
per month beginning Jan. Est, 1925. Motion was passed:
Council adjourned to Jan. 6th, 1925,. at which;
