In the ab- sense of the Mayor, Mr. Jacobs, Prerl6ent of the Cour_cil, ,. called the meeting to order and presided. "Councilmer. Keen, Ranson, Scott, and Sundy were present. The minutes of the last meetirE were read and approved. The Clerk laid before the Council current bills which on motion of Mr. Keen were referred to the Finance Committee. " and where such probable cost is ten 'dollars or more the approval of the chairman, or in his absence, the acting chairman, of the Water and Light committee shall be had on the requisition before it is submitted` to the City Clerk" so that when amended the section =? will read as follows: "That all supplies and material for the Water and Light plant and its associated activities shall ;a be ordered by th- City Clerk on requisition of the superintendent of the plant who shall indicate the Y 1 Y probable cost of the material requisitioned, and where':• such probable cost is ten dollars or more the appro of the chairman, or in his absence, the acting ehai'VI man,,of the Water and Light committee shall be had` on the requisition before it is submitted to the Cit ?n Clerk, and all correspondence relating to the purchase` of supplies shall be conducted by the City Clerk; aan all orders therefor made by him."
