absence of the Mayor. Counoilmen Been, Ranson,
Soott and Sundt' were present.
Minutes of pre4loua meetings were read
and approved.
The Q1erk laid before the council peti-
tion Yrom oitizena of south Dade street asking for
better water service and fire protection. On motion
of Mr. Been seconded by Mr. Sundt' the petition was
referred to the 9Pater and Light committee for aotion~ ,

the vote on the motion to-refer being unanimous.
The Gierk presented nQ.minating petitions
filed in behalf of J. S. 3undy and J. M. Berg for Mayor,

J. A. Zeder and J. F. Rice were named as inspectors, and-
Emma H. Jacobs clerk, to hold the annuel citq election at
the Board of Trade hall October 3, 1922. The motion waa
adopted bq unanimous vote, on roll call.
