A number of bills were laid before the Couneilw`~ ,
by the Clerk, which on motion of J. C. Keen, secondEd
by L. I+'. Ranson, were referred to the finance com-
mittee. `Phe L_ayor appointed Cotmcilman Ranson a `,,
member of the Finance Committee protein. „'.;
The Finance Committee'efter approval of the '
several bills referred them back bo the Council with,;"
recommendation that they be paid, and on roll call J.:'
