Pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Charter of the City of Delray Beach the Mayor has instructed me to
announce a Special Meeting of the City Commission to be held for the following purposes:

The Special Meeting of the City Commission was called to order at 1:00
p.m.
Members Present were:
Mayor Shelly Petrolia
Vice Mayor Shirley Johnson
Deputy Vice Mayor Bill Bathurst
Commissioner Boylston
Commissioner Frankel
Others present were:
Neal de Jesus, Interim City Manager
Lynn Gelin, City Attorney
Katerri Johnson, City Clerk
It was recommended not to set a pay range for the City Manager position.
After further discussion, there was fulll consensus to go with the
recommendation.
City Attorney Gelin explained that she prepared a quick summary of the
highlights of the agreement and a comparison between the former City
Manager, Mr. Cernech and Mr. Gretsas.
Further discussion ensued.
A motion was made by Commissioner Boylston to accept the contract for
Mr. George Gretsas. It was seconded by Deputy Vice Mayor Bathurst.
The roll call was taken and the vote carried 3-2 with Vice Mayor Johnson
and Commissioner Frankel dissenting.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 1:32
p.m.
