08-12-198 RegularEl u .a 30 D 9 a K Council Rooms August 12 1918 Regular k_eeting of the Town Council was called to order by hayor E.H.Scott at 8 P-IT. with the following members present. T.E.Oneal L.L.Barwick T.J.Williamson The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved A petition was presented by Janes Smith and otjjers ,asking that Dailey St be Rocked to the City Limits and thence North from Daily St,on. Blackmer St to Atlantic Ave. After due consideration by the Council,on a fiction by L.L.Barwick and supported by T.J- Williamson that the Rocki[- ing of Daily St and Blackmer St be refered to the Street Committee ,to make estimate of Cost &.c and report at the next Regular 3`eeting.. Carried btotion by T.J.Williamson and supported by L.L.Barwick that the BILLS for the past month be refered to the Finance Committee . Carried There being two of the Finance Committee absent for Cause the liayor appointed T.J- Williamson and T.h.Oneal to act with L.L.Barwick as Auditing Committee. The Bills were examined by the Committee and on a potion by T.J.Williamson and supported by L.L.Barwick the Bills were refered back to the Council with instructions that warrants be drawn for the same as approved. 'On a notion by L.L.Barwick and supported by T.M.Oneal the communication wag, accepted and placed on filD,and the Clerk instructed to suitable acknowledgement of the same. Motion by L.LBarwiok and supported by T.J.Williamson that T.M.Oneal act as Chairman of the Meeting. 'The evening was spent in equilazition the values already ;placed on zeal estate. Amotion to adjourn to August 22 carried, August 22 The adjourned Regular Meeting of the Town Council was called th order by Mayor Scott at 8 P.M. with the following mem. fibers present. PThe assessment Roll for 1918 was taken up and on a 'Motion by L.L.Barwick and Supported by T,id 0neal that the for 1918 assessed values„ be at a three fourth actual value and !the Budget for 1918 be made on this increased assessment.
