Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved,'
Communication of Auditer J.D *Hitchill was read,accepted
and placed on file. ;
The Bills for the past Month was taken up and on a Motion
by T..7 'Williamson and supported by S.H.Allen were refered
to the Finance Committee. The bills were examined and agpi°
owed by the Finance Committee and on Notion by T.J.Billiam
Supported by T.M.Oneal, ,Tere refered back to the Council
with instructions that WARRENTS be drawn for the same as

A Clerk presented the Monthly report of the Treasurer for•
the RECEIPTS AND DISBURSMENTS for the Month Of September
and Receipts and disburements of the Water & Light Dap -,
for the month of August.Also the report of ShH..Walker -:-
as Marshal and Chief of Sanitation.
Mr Scott reported as chairmen on Committee to put in.a
watering Trough,that there had been nothing done Yneards
to seleting a permant- place,and putting in a trought.,
Mr Scott also reported on the proposition of purchaseing
r
the lumber left by the Bridge Cor_tractors,to build a dock,,
at the Canal-They had -a price of $5Q.00 -'f6r the new lumber--
or 0 100.00 for all the lumber left at the Bridge.
No action taken.
Mayor Scott brought up the subject of closeing the schools
on account of the so called Spanish Influenza, It was
discussed by the Council and also with the Citizens press
Mr L.H.Bradshaw member of the Scholl Board.
It was desided that the matter of closeing the school was
whlley in the hands of the Local School Board,and the
Council would not take any action at present.
The Ballot Box containing the results of the Annual Electi
held on the 8th of October was opened and the Ballots canv
sed. A Motion by J.J.Schabinger and supported by T.M.Oneai
that the results of the Election as Counted by the Inspect
be accepted and the following Candidates are declaired else-
tded. J.S.Sundy Mayor 31,T.Knox and J.J.Schabinger Courcilma
W.A.Brennan Clerk, J,V.VTalker Marshal, W.B &Joiner,J.B.Rice
for Bond Trustees. Motion Carried.

Immediately on the adjourning of the old Council Mayor
Snntt administered to Oath of Office to Mayor Elect
J.S.Sundy.
Ma yor Sundy on assuming Office administered the
oath of office to J.J.Schabinger and K.T.Knox as council -
mensW.A.Brennan as Clerk and J.M.Walker as City Marshal
and Chief of Sanitation.
Mayor Sundy called the Council to order with all members
present.
The matter of the Clerks Bond was taken up. Motion by
T.M.Oneal and supported by S.H.Allen that the Clerk be
and is instructed to have his BOND RENEWED.

Mr Bradley Cijsy Engineer asked the Council for intructions
relative th placeing Eleeeric light poles and on the
Streets regardless of the Telephone poles,where such
telephone lines are dead.
Motion by T.M.Oneal and supported by S.H.Allen that the
City Engineer is hereby authorized to place Elecettic
Light poles and Wires on the same side of the Street with
Telephone Poles where the Telephone wires on said Streets
are dead. Motion Carried.
There being no further business the Council adjourned to
the next regular meeting.
