Communication from the Florida East Coast Ry Co btateing that they had been advised by their Attoeney that as the U.S.Government had taken over the Management of the Rail Roads,the 9ompany would not be liable for an Occupation to the Town. Communication accepted and laid over tb the next Regular Meeting. :Communication from Wilson & Toomer to Mr Sundy was presented by the Mayor Sundy to the Council,refering to the assessed Valuation on Real Estate and Personal for 1918, and explained to the Council why the Personal Valuation was too high. i ,After due consideration the following motion was passed. ;a Motion by S.H.Allen and supported by T.J.V.Tilliamson '.the Tax Collector is here 'py authorized to make a reduction of (One thousand Dollars)on the assessed Value of Wilson & Toomers personal Tax for 1918,Changeing the &ssessment from $4000.00 to$3000400. AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SELLING OF GOODS OR KEEPING OPEN STORES OR SHOPS ON SUNDAY EXCEPT AS PROVIDED. Be it ordained by the Town ^Council of the Town 6C- Deltay Florida. that it shall be unlawful for any person to keep open their Store or Shop, to dispose of wares Merchandise goods or Chattles,to sell or barter or cause the same to be sold or bartered on Sunday, except in case of emergency or necessity without keeping open doors, and any person found guilty of violateing this ordinance shall be punished by a fine not bracedeing FIrTY DOLLARS.$$50.00) All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict or inconsistent with this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed. Motion by J.J.Schabinger and supported by S.H.Allen that the ORDINANCE be refered to the Ordinance Committee Motion Carried.
