VIII of the Florida Constitution and Chapter 166, Florida Statutes), Chapter 252, Florida Statutes (Emergency Management), any and all other applicable statutes, the City Charter and Chapter 95 of the City's Code of Ordinances, the City Commission of the City of Delray Beach shall conduct business at and through virtual meetings utilizing Communications Media Technology (CMT) in accordance with the rules of procedures promulgated by the City, during the COVID-19 public health emergency declared pursuant to Resolution 70-20, as extended. Members of the public wishing to view City Commission meetings should log into the City’s website, https://www.delraybeachfl.gov/i- want-to/watch/city-meetings, where the meeting will be live-streamed for the public. The Special Meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. The roll call was taken by Katerri Johnson, City Clerk, and the following were present: Mayor Shelly Petrolia, Deputy Vice Mayor Shirley Ervin Johnson, Commissioner Adam Frankel, Vice-Mayor Ryan Boylston, and Commissioner Juli Casale Present:5 - Pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Charter of the City of Delray Beach the Mayor has instructed me to announce a Special Meeting of the City Commission to be held for the following purposes: SP.1. Public Comments SP.2. Others present were: Katerri Johnson, City Clerk Lynn Gelin, City Attorney None: MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS: DECLARE THE RESULTS OF THE MARCH 9, 2021 FIRST NONPARTISAN ELECTION Body:Recommended Action: Recommendation:Motion to accept the cumulative totals for each candidate for Mayor/Seat #5, Commissioner/Seat #1, and Commissioner/Seat #3, including all regular, absentee, and provisional votes as ascertained by the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, and that it is hereby declared, based upon the foregoing results, that Shelly Petrolia is re-elected as Mayor/Seat #5, Adam Frankel is re-elected as Commissioner/Seat #1 and Ryan Boylston is re-elected as Commissioner/Seat #3 for three year terms commencing on the 25th day of March, 2021, and ending in accordance with the Charter. The results read as follows: Mayor/Seat #5 Tracy Caruso 5,886 votes Shelly Petrolia 6,251 votes Commission Member/Seat #1 Adam Frankel 6,557 votes Price Patton 5,448 votes Commission Member/Seat #3 Ryan Boylston 7,258 votes Mitch Katz 4,767 votes Vice Mayor Boylston made a motion to approve the Municipal Election results. It was seconded by Commissioner Casale.
