SUBJECT: STREET NAME CHANGES
FINAL NOTICE OF CHANGE
In 1989 the City authorized the changing of the street names for ten
streets in Delray Beach. We are now completing the one year process
to formally transfer these streets from the existing name to the new
name. A list and maps of the affected streets are attached.
The process to change these street names began last July when
letters ( see attached) were sent to all affected property and
business owner. During this past year we have allowed the use of
both the old and new names . On July 1, 1993 , the process ends with
the removal of the old street names . After July 1st, only the new
street names are to be used.
If you have any questions concerning these changes, please call me
at 243-7061 .

Dear Property/Business Owner:
In 1989 , the City sponsored a street name auction in conjunction
with the Old School Square renovations . The street name changes
brought about through that auction were approved by the City
Commission on August 22 , 1989 . We are completing a one year process
to finalize these street name changes .
On the back of this letter is an informational sheet listing your
old and new property/business street name . Also shown are various
agencies which must be informed of your new address . This
notification must be initiated by the property/business owner. The
City is notifying all emergency providers, the post office, and City
Utility Billing of your change of street name address . All
necessary address changes should be completed by July 1, 1993 .
You will continue to receive mail to either your old or new address
until July 1 , 1993 . After July 1, 1993, mail will be delivered only
to the new address . If you have any question, please contact Greg
