29-71 ORDINANCE NO. 29-71. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRA¥ BEACH, FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY KNOWN AS SOUTH DIXIE HIGHWAY BEING IN PART OF SECTIONS 20, 21, 29 AND 32, TOWNSHIP 46 SOUTH, RANGE 43 EAST, WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE DELRA¥ BEACH RESERVE AREA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, has previously been authorized to annex real prop- erty that is public or quasi-public which is not subject to ad valorem taxation; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach deems it to be in the best interest of the City to annex certain contiguous road right-of-way for the purpose of traf- fic control on a public street and making land contiguous in the City limits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Delray Beach hereby annexes the following described right-of-way to said City: That portion of South Dixie Highway as now laid out and in use described as follows; Extending South from the center line of S. E. 10th Street to the center line of the C-15 Canal being approximately 9000 feet more or less, said right- of-way being parallel and adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railroad right-of-way. SECTION 2. The corporate limits of this City is hereby amended to include the aforedescribed property: PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on the second and final reading on the 27th day of September , 1971. ~/ MAYO R ATTEST: First Reading September 13, 1971.
