This policy establishes a procedure that instructs the proper discretion which is to be used by employees
in responding to claims for damages and potential claimants.
POLICY
In any incident or accident situations,employees of the City of Delray Beach will not make statements to
anyone,especially potential claimants,or their legal representatives,as to whetherthe City of Delray Beach
is or is not responsible for any related damages or any negligent actions.These matters are to be first
discussed with the City Attorney's Office and with the Risk Management Division of the Human Resources
Department.
