~onorable Jack L. Saunders, Mayor
City of Delray Beach
Delray Beach, Florida
Dear Mayor Saunders:
The 1967 Session of the Florida Legislature amended Chap-
ter 175o101, Florida Statutes, whereby the 1% excise tax
on property insurance premiums levied by participating
municipalities was increased to 2% with an effective date
as of July l, 1969.
Your city will need to amend Ordinance No. 325 ,
dated September 25, 1959by changing the tax from 1% t'$
2% with an ef~ect'ive date of July l, 1969. As soon as you
have made this change in the aforementioned ordinance, it
will be necessary to forward a copy of the amending
ordinance to this office, so that your city will be eligible
for the additional tax monies beginning July l, 1969.
We are, of course, happy that additional State monies will
be made available to your city through the passage of this
ordinance and want to assure you of our continued coopera-
tion in all matters rela~ing to this Act.
Best personal regards.
Sincerely,
