59-66 ORDINANCE NO. 59-66. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AHENDING SECTIONS 2-20 AND 2-22 OF CHAPTER 2 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THIS CITY PERTAINING TO THE OFFICE OF CITY PROSECUTOR. WHEREAS, on the 12th day of November, 1963, the City Council adopted an Ordinance No. G-516, creating the office of City Prosecutor; and subsequently amended, same by Ordinance No. G-525 (both of which have been codified mn Sections 2-18 through 2-23). WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to amend this ordinance for the daily operation of the Judicial and Police Departments of this City: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLO~S: Section 1. Section 2-20 of said Chapter 2 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2-20. The City Prosecutor shall he a lawyer qualified to practice in the courts cf the State of Florida, and shall either be a resident of or maintain an office in the City of Delray Beach at the time of his appointment, and during the tenure of his office." Section 2. Section 2-22 of said Chapter 2 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2-22. The City Prosecutor shall be paid compensation in the amount of 93,600.00 per year, and the As- sistant City Prosecutors shall receive compensation at the rate of $20.00 per Municipal Court session which they are designated to attend. The aforesaid compensation shall be paid from the General Fund which shall ~e reimbursed b~ the imposition of court costs in an amount of ~5.00 which shall be levied by the Municipal Judge against each convicted defendant in addition to any fine/ which might be imposed ."
