AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DEL~Y BEACH, FLORIDA, A~XING TO THE CITY CERTAIN ~S LO~TED IN SECTION ~, ~SHIP 46 SOUTH, ~NGE 43 ~ST, ~ICH ~S A~ CON- TIGUOUS ~ EXISTING M~ICIPAL LIMITS OF SAID CITY; A~ REDEFINING THE BO~ARIES OF SAID CITY TO INCL~E SAID ~S. WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interest, safety, health, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, that the hereinafter described real property be annexed to the City of Delray Beach, and WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to the present bound- ary of territorial limits of the City, and will provide additional width for present rights-of-way necessary for improvement of public rights-of-way, and WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach has heretofore been authorized to annex lands in accordance with Section 185.1 of the City Charter of said. City granted to it by the State of Florida: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, hereby annexes to said City the following described parcels of land located in Palm Beach County, Florida, which lie contiguous to said City, to-wit~ ~nd shown in Plat Book 1, page 4, in the Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida: Those parcels of land lying and. being in Section~8, Township 46 South, Range 43 E~st, Palm Beach County, Florida, described as follows: 1. The East 15 feet of the East 3/4 of the South half of Lot 15, Section 8, Township 46 South, Range 43 East. 2. The North 10 feet of the East 800 feet of the East 3/4 of the South half of Lot 15, Section 8, Township 46 South, Range ,%3 East. .~ECTION 2. That the boundaries of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, are hereby redefined so as to include therein the above described parcels of land, and said lands are hereby declared to be within the corporate limits of the City of Delray Beach, Flori¢la. .SECTION 3. That if any word, phrase, clause, sentence or part of this ordinance shall be declared illegal by a court of compe- tent jurisdiction, such record of illegality shall in no way affect the remaining ..Dortion.
