AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
SUB-SECTION (C), SECTION 29 - 7, CHAPTER
29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THIS CITY
PERTAINING TO BUILDING HEIGHT REGULATIONS
IN THE R-3 MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DIS-
TRICT.
NO~4 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
0F DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sub-section (C), Section 29 - ? of the
Code of Ordinances of the City be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Sec. 29 - 7 , R-3 Multiple family dwelling district.
(C) BUILDING HEIGHT REGULATIONS
On ocean front and intracoastal waterway front lots,
buildings may be erected to a height not exceeding one hundred
(100) feet, measured from the highest finished grade to the
ceiling of highest floor. Buildings in other R-3 districts may
be erected to a height not exceeding forty-five (4~) feet,
measured from the highest finished grade to the ceiling of the
highest floor."

Dear Sir: Re: Height of structures in R-3 zone.
The Plam~ing Board met on June 14th~ 1968~ and after discussion~ a
motion was made by S. Lankton~ seconded by R. Jebb and passed
unanimously that the following be incorporated in an ordinanc%and
presented to the council~ at its next regular meeting.
On Ocean front and Intracoastal Waterway front lots~ build-
ings may be erected to a height not exceeding one hundred
(100) feet~ measured from the bights finished grader to
the ceiling of the highest floor. Buildings in other R-3
districts may be erected to a height not exceeding~ forty-
five (48) feet~ measured from the highest finished grade,
to the ceiling of the highest floor.
