AN 0RDINAY~CE DECLARING THE INTENTION
OF THE CiTY OF DELi{AY BEACH TO ANNEX
CERTAIN LANDS IN SDCTION 21, TOWNSHIP
46 SOUTH, RA~TGE 43 E~$T, TO THE CITY
OF DEI~AY BEn,CH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interest, safety, health,
and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, that certain'lands be ar~uexed to the City of Delray
Beach; and
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous to the present
boundary of territorial limits of the city and that, when
annexed, it will constitute a reasonably compact addition to the
incorporated territory with which it is combined; and
WHEREAS, there are less tha~ ten freeholders contained in
the area which is to be annexed; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ?~YOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELR~Y BEACH, FLORIDA:
(1) That in accordance with Section 185, as amended, of
the Charter of the City of Delray Beach, upon the expiration
of 15 days from the final passage of this ordinance, the City
of Delray Beach shall by ordinance annex the following described
lands, making them a part of the corporate limits of the City
of Delray Beach, Florida, all of said lands being in Section 21,
Township 46 South, Range 43 East:
DELt~Y BEACH SHORES a S/D of the S 1310' of the N 4780' lying
between St.Rd. AIA & ID. tracoa, sts. 1 Waterway
per Plat Book 23, Page ~67.

(2) That this Ordinance shall be published in full once
a week for two consecutive weeks, in the Delray Beach News-
Journal.
(~) Qualified objectors may object to such annexation
within ~e t~me and ~n ~= m~nner provided by said Section 185,
as s~ended, of the Charter of ~ ~z~ of Belray Beach, Florida.
(4) Should any section, clause or provision of this
Ordinance be declared by a Court of Competent Juris~dction to
be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof, other than that part
so declared to be invalid.
(5) This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
i~mediately upon its final passage and publication in a news-
paper published in Delray Beach, Florida.
