AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDLNG CHAP~ER 26, CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DELRAY ~BEACH, FLORIDA, BY ADDING A SECTION TO SAID CHAP- TER PROVIDING FOR THE SUSPENSION OR REVOCA- TION OF 0CCUPA2IONAL PERMITS TO OPERATE TAXICABS IN THIS CITY UPON THE FAILURE 0F HOLDERS TO COMPLY WITH CERTAIN CONDITIONS BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, as follows: That Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following section. "SECTION 26-12. SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF OCCUPATIONAL PERMIT TO OPERATE. Any permit heretofore or hereafter issued for the operation of a taxicab pursuant to a previously approved Certi- ficate of Convenience and Necessity shall be revoked or sus- pended immediately upon notice that the liability and/or property damage insurance covering said taxicab has been cancelled. The owner of said permit shall receive preferen- tial consideration for a new permit if application is received by the City from the former holder on or before December 31st of the year in which revocation or suspension has occurred."
