A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO
TRANSFER REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, WHICH PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT LOTS 12 AND 13,
BLOCK 2 AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, TO
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF SOUTH PALM BEACH
COUNTY, INC. TO BE UTILIZED FOR AFFORDABLE
HOUSING.
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach, Florida desires to transfer Lots 12 and 13, Block 2, Silver
Terrace for the purpose of providing property for affordable housing; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to
transfer the property described above; and
WHEREAS, the City shall only transfer the property to Habitat for Humanity of South Palm
Beach County, Inc. based upon the terms and conditions of the Interlocal Agreement between the City
and Habitat for Humamty of South Palm Beach County, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the transfer of the property described
above will promote the general welfare of the residents of Delray Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of Delray Beach, Florida hereby agrees to
transfer Lots 12 and 13, Block 2, Silver Terrace, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 11,
Page 61, of the Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida, to the Habitat for Humanity of South
Palm Beach County, Florida based upon the terms and conditions, which are hereby incorporated herein,
of the Interlocal Agreement between the City and Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County,
Inc.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in reg, hr session on this the 3rd day of June, 2003.

The attached resolution, if approved, would allow the transfer of two lots to Habitat
for Humanity of South Palm Beach County in accordance with the agreement
dated October 17, 2002, between the City and Habitat providing that the City must
transfer at least 3 lots to Habitat by September 30, 2004. The City has not
previously transferred any lots to Habitat under the agreement.
Please place this item on the agenda for the June 3, 2003 City Commission
