~W~S, it has been dete~ined by the City Cou~cil of the City of
De!ray Beach, Florida, that it is in 4~e best interes~ and %he general we~are
of 4he public that more than one polling place be provided for ~a~
elections in the City of Delray Beach~ and
~>~PgAS, the State of Florida has prescribed the ho~s d~ing which
elections, including m~icival elections, shall be held, which laws are
in co~flic~ ~ith the ordinance here~ mnended.

~CTION !: That Section 1, Chapter V of 4he City code of the City
of Delray Beach, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section t: That a primary election to nominate
candidates for the office of City Co~ci~an shall be held two
weeks before the first ~esday in December of this year and each
year thereafter. Such Primam/ election shall be held at such
place or places in the City of Delray Beach, Florida as may be
desi~ated by the proclamation of the l~fayor, calling said election
on the date specified bei~.~een the hours of 7:00 A.!~'~. and 7:00 P.~i.

upon its passage on firsq and final reading.
