WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, has, in pursuance to the Charter of said City, submitted to the City Council for approval, a report of the cost and the assessment roll for the construction of storm drains on Gleason Street from Shulson Street to Ingraham Street, and beginning on Gleason Street and ex- tending eastward on Nassau Street a distance of 90 feet, and the ~nstallation oF five necessary catch basins in conjunction with such storm drains. ~.~HmRmAo, said report and assessment roll were approved by the Cit~ Council in regular session on the 2~th day of January, A. D., 19~8)', and ~:z~u~..~=,~., due notice concerning sa~d_ assessment roll was given by advertisement by the City Clerk, i~ accordance with the City Charter of said City, for the p~pose of hearing objectior~s to said assessment roll, and WHEREAS, such objections as were heard were deemed ir~sufficlent .by the City Council of the City of Deiray Beach, Florida, ' " O~,DaI~D by the City Council of the ,~Jty of Delray Bea~q~, Florida, as follows: SECTI0~7 1. The assessments, as shown by said as.~a=sment ro~ which Is annexed hereto and made a pa~t hereof, are hereby levied against the property showp and in amounts shown on said assessment roll, said assessments to be paid in ten e~al annual installments, together with interest at rate of o/.~ per a~num, the first installment becoming due and payable on April 1st, 19~;9, and on the first day of A~rll for the next ensuing n~e years; and said special assessment so levied sh~l be a lien from the date the assess- ment becomes effective, upon the respective lots and parcels of land described in said assessment roll, of the same nature amd to the same extent as the lien for general Cit~ taxes, and shall be collectable in the same manner and with the same ~enalties and under the same pro- visions as to sale and forEeiture as City taxes are collectable.
