AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELP~Y BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 265 OF OP~INANCE G-11, PERTAINING TO
BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL AND OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES, BY P~VIDING
THAT KESIDE~TS OF SAID CITY WHO APsE SIXTY-FIi~E YE~S OF AGE OR
OVE~ S~LL BE EXEMPTED FROM SUCH LICENSES UPON THE APPROVAL OF
THE CITY COUNCIL.
BE IT OItDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Delray Beach, Florida, as Follows:
Section 1: That Section 265 of Ordinance G-11 be,
and the same is hereby amended to read as Follows:
eThat all confirmed cripples or invalids, physically
incapable of manual labor, and all United States ~ar Veterans
and widows who are dependent upon their own exertions, shall be
allowed to peddle without paying a license, using their own capi-
tal only, not in excess of FIVE HUND~ DOLLARS, and in the Coun-
ty in which they are permanent residents; PROVIDED, such exemp-
tion shall be allowed only upon a certificate of the City Physi-
cian as to the disability therein named~ ~ND FUttTHEB PROVIDING
that an actual bona Fide resident of the City of Delray Beach who
is sixty-Five (65) years of age or over shall be exempted From
payment of any business, professional or occupational license of
the City o£ Delray Beach, Florida, upon approval of the City
Council. This shall not be construed or meant to include trans-
ient persons, begging and/or soliciting. ~
Section 2: All Ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
