AN CRDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DEIRA¥ BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDi~NG FOR TEE REGISTRATION, PHO'IDGRAPHING AND FINGERPRINTING OF ALL E~PLO~ IN SAID CITY AT ANY NIGHT CLUB, ANY PLACE HANDLING LIQUOR, BEER OR WINE IN ANY FORN, PLACES CF ANUSE~NT, HOTELS, ROONING HOUSES, APARTMENT HOUSES, DELIVERY SERVICES, RESTAURANTS; AND ALL CADDIES, NEWSPAPER DELIVERY BOYS OVER THE CF SEVENTEEN, SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS, DOMESTIC S~VAN~S, TAXICAB DRY, AND VENDING NACNINE OPERAT(~S; PROVID- ING THAT ALL DO~'~-qTIC E~PLOYEES AND E~PLOVm~ IN ANY HOTEL, APARTNENT HO~E, ROONING HO~E, RESTAURANT OR ANY O~ER PLACE NANDLING FOCDS AND/OR DRINKS SHALL F~RNISN A CERTIFICATE TNAT THEY HAVE NO INFECTIOUS, CONTAGIOU~ CO]~I~NICABLE DISEASE; PROVIDING FOR TNE /BSUANCE OF IDENTIFICATION CARDS TO SAID PERSON; ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR TEE ISSUANCE CF EACH SUCH IDENTIFICATION CARD }~NEWAL THEREOF AND PROVIDING PENALTIE~ FOR. THE VIOLATION OF TNIS O~DINANCE. BE IT OEDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF DEI/LIY BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: SECTION 1. That from and after the passage of this ordinance every person employed in any Night Club, any place handling liquor, beer or wine in any form, places of amusement, hotels, rooming houses, apartment houses, delivery services, restaurants, and all caddies, newspaper delivery boys over the age of seventeen, special police officers, domestic servants, taxicab drivers, vending machine operators, be and they are hereby required to register within hoars from the time of their employment or within ~8 hours from the time this Ordinance becomes effective, if already employed, and to register in a Registration Book to be kept by the Chief of Police of this City and be fingerprinted. The registrant shall also furnish the Chief of Police with a photograph of such size as may be designated by said Chief of PoLice. SECTION 2. From and after the passage of this Ordinance no ~erson shall be em- ployed as a domestic servant or employee, handling food ancot drinks in any hotel, apartment house, roomtng house, restaurant or any other place handling foods and/or drinks, or any person who shall be employed in the capacity of a swfmmt,g instructor, unless said employee shall have first furnished to hie employer a health certificate signed by a registered licensed physician (Medical Doctor) practising in the City of Delray Beach, the County Physician of Palm Beach County, Florida, or any registered Licensed Physician whose certificate the City is required to accept under the Laws of the State of Florida, that such employee is free from any infectious, contagious and/or communicable disease. All health certificates shall become void six (6) months following the date of their issuance. SECTION 3. An identification card shall be issued to each person registering under Section ~ of this Ordinance and such identification card shall be carried by the employee at all times. In the event such registration card shall be lost or cannot be produced upon reasonable notice, such person shall promptly re-register and secure a new card from the Chief of Po]ice of this City. SECTION &. A fee of 255 shall be charged for the issuance of each identification card or renewal thereof. SECTION 5. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance sh~11, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not exceeding $ 100.00, or By im- prisonment in the City Jail not exceeding 60 days~ or by both such fine and imprison- mant in the discretion of the Municipal Judge. SECTION 6. All Ordt-_~-ces or parts of Ordinances insofar as the same are in conflict herewith are hereby repealed_.
