'~',lqEREZ~S, there has been no reregistration of voters in the
City' of Delray Beach, Florida, since 1938, and
'~2,..,RE.'Ao~, the registration books of said city contain the
names of many persons who have moved away from said city or for
other reasons are no longer qualified to vote in said city, and
~K~REAS, the City Charter of the City of Oelray Beach,
Florida, provides that the city Council may provide for a re-
registration of voters at t~-~e first meeting in ~uly, 1938, and
thereafter at the first meetina, in ~'uly every five years, provided!
that each person applying to be registered shall i,mke the oath
as set forth in said charter and giVe other required informa-
tion to the City Clerk, who shall be the Regristration Officer
for said city,
NO~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAI~YED by the City Council of the
City of Delray Beach, Florida, as follows:
Section 1. That there shall be a reregistration of votersi
in the City of Delray Beach, Florida, who are qualified electors
under the provisions of the City Charter, but before any registran$
shall be properly registered or qualified to vote in any election
in the City of Delray Eeach, Florida, he shall be reouired to make
the oath in accordance with Section 1~5 of the City Charter and to
give the following infornmtion to the City Clerk, who shall be the
Registration Officer for the City of Delray Beach.
His or her full name, the stave or country of birth, the
day, month and year of birth, t~e address (street and namber, sec-!
rich, quarter-section, township ~Lr~d range), occupation; if nat-
uralized, give 'the daze, the court, and ti~e state whe. re naturalizei
and the certificate number of the naturalization papers ~::nd if of
derivative citizenship, the name of the husband or parent throu~:h
whom naturalized, the date of marria£1e if votin~:~ on husband's
papers; the address where last registered and voted, ~cludir.? the
state, county and city; sex, color, ~nd whether or not he or she

is a freeholder.
The registration record'on which the above ir~formation is
recorded shall be subscribed and sworn to by the registrant and
shall also be signed by 6he registration officer.
In addition to the above, the registration record shall
also contain space where a change of address of any registrant
can be noted, the date his or her address was chan~ed, and a~ace
to note the cancellation of any registration and the date and
reason therefor, together with the reinstatement of registration
and the date and reason therefor.
Said registration record shall further be execute~ in
duplicate and shall contain space wherein can be noted whether or
not the registrant is voting in the first 2rimary, g~eneral or spe-
ti'~ereto,
cial elections in the year 1948 or any year subsequent/to and in-
c lud ing 1958.
~hen any elector is properly registered as aforesaid, then
the registration officer shall give to such elector a card the
face of which is as follows:
