AN E~ERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE.~ CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH,
ELORIDA, AMENDING SECTION ~0 0F CHAPTER XVII OF THE CITY CODE OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS an emergency exists in the City of Delray Beach, Florida,
due to the fact that adequate provision is no~ made in the City Code for
the designation of one-way streets in said City.
WHEREAS it is necessary for Dhe preservation of public safety
that adequate provision be made for such designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Delray Beach, Florida, as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 40 of Chapter XVII of the City Code
of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows, to-wit:
"SECTION 40: ONE-WAY STREETS. Upon those streets
and alleys and parts of streets and alleys which
are designated for one-way traffic by appropriate
traffic signs, vehicula~ traffic shall move only
in the indicated direction.
SECTION 2. That the above amendment shall become a part of the
City Code of Delray Beach, Florida, and shall be inserted therein in
lieu of the original Section of said code Which is amended by this
ordinance.
SECTION 3. This is an emergency ordinance and shall become
effective on its passage on its first and final reading.
PASSED in Regular Session on this the 23rd day of December,
