Council Chamber
January 8, 1923.
The Council met in regular session, the
bayor presiding. Councilmen r'~alone, Ranson, Scott,
and Sundy were present. PPs. Keen eras absent.
The Clerk laid before the council corres-
I pondence with the Bureau of Rating relating to fire
protection and fire equipment which was referred to
"- 23r. Helland, Chief of the Fire Department, for con-
sideration with the request that it be given consider-
ation and that he report to the neat regular meeting
of the council.
The Clerk laid before the council current
bills which were referred to the Finance Committee,

~~' and after being considered by that committee were
returned to the council with the recommendation that
they be paid, and on roll call they were ordered paid.

is. Helland appeared before the council and
requested a reduction in the contract price for cur-
rent at the ice factory based on 48 HP motors to an

equitable rate based on 46 HP motors.
On motion of ,vir. Scott the reauest of IcLr.
Helland was referred to the GVater ~: bight committee
for report after consultation with the superintendent
T of the water and light plant, those voting for the

motion on roll call being iir. D~alone, I.r. i2anson,
I,ir. Scott, and iir. Sundt'.
The Oler': was authorized to issue to ::~. r'.
'ilalker an occupational license as drayman in lieu of
license as retail dealer in ice.
By unanimous vote of the council on roll
call the uniform rate of ~" 5.00 was fixed for all
water-cut-ins.
The council adjourned. to 7:30 p.m. January
