September 24, 1923.
The Council met in regular session, the Mayor
presiding. Councilmen Keen, Malone, Ranson, and Scott
were present. Councilman Sundq was absent.
The minutes of the prevdons meetings were
read and approved,
The Clerk laid before the Council nominating
Nominations petitions filed in behalf of J. L. Love, for tlayor; J.C.
for City Of-:Johnson, E. H. Scotty Leslie H. Walker, and B. F. Sandy
fivers.
for Councilmen, and J. H. Cason, Jr. for Bond Trustee.
After verification of the petitions filed, on
motion of,Mr. Keen, seconded by Mr. Malone, the Clerk was
.directed to have the name of J. L. Love placed on the ballot4
for the office of Mayor, the names of J. C. Johnson, E.H.
!Scott, B. F. Sundq, and Leslie H. Walker for the office of
Councilmen, and the name of J. R. Cason, Jr. for the
office of Bond Trustee, to be voted at the citq annual
selection to be held October 2, 1923,
On motion of Mr. Keen, Chairman of the Finance
Tax Assess-Committee, duly seconded, the assessment roll of the tax

tion that they be paid, and, on roll call, the bills were
