The regular meeting of the Tovm Council was called to order
at 7.30 P.iri. with the following members present. President

meeting was.. read and approved. Notion by J.P..Zeder and sup-
pcrted by G.J.Strickland ,That the Renewal of the Contracts
.for Rieters and Transformers with the Florida Electric Co
fer the year of 1917, by the Suptendant of the dater and Light
':department Perry Bradley is Hereby approved.

'..Communication fnom E.O.Painter & Co relative to the Personal
;tax on mercandise handeled in their waEehouse was read and
',refuted to the Assessor .Councilman Zeder C ~11ed for a report
from Attorney Yeomans relative to making a settlement,
with Judge Thompschnn in behalf of Allon R?c Neilly. P:4r
Yeomans reported the there eras no prospect of making a
settlement. and the only thing that remained for the Council
to do eras to procede with the sivel suit against the Bor_dsman
Ordinance
The Ordinance Cornmittee refuted the Dog and Squirl~bacY, to
the Council approved ,and the Ordinance on Sanitation un-
aproved,s ' .. _ .._
The Ordinance for a license on Dogs was-read by caption
and laid over to the next regular meeting. The Ordinance
for the protection of squirls within the Town Limits was
read by Caption, and laid over to the next regular meeting.

':Mayor Cromer then addressed the Council and Citizens assem-
ibled relative to the annexing that portion of Section 16
Past of the Canal that was formaly plated in the old
!Town of Linton. The subject was discussed at length in an
linformal way,and remarks made by Messrs Crego, Fish J.L.Troup
',H.J.Sterling and Prof, Landers. Also by Bars Landers and Mrs
;.i.C.L.FSmith. There being no further business, a motion
!by H.J.StHrling aizd supported by G.J.Strickland the Council
ad3ourned. .
