07-26-15 Regular0 July 26, 1915. Q • At the regular meeting of the Town Council, called to order by Pres. Blackmer, the following members were present: W. W. Blackmer, L. H. Bradshaw, H. J. Sterling and S. E. O'Neal, absent J. R. Cason, Jr. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. ~., . a Communications from the J. B. McCrary Co. and 4 The S. F. Bowser Co., were read and placed on file. Resignation of J. M. walker as Tovm Marshal was read. Councilman Sterling presented the names of persona doing a draying business within the town limits ~ ~ ~~ithout s license. Matter referred to Jiarshal J. M. Walker. President Blackmer requested Councilman i H. J. Sterling to take the ekair. H. J. Sterling in the chair.. W. '". Blackmer read portions oY the alternative writ of mandamus obtained by Allen MacNeill~t frpr~ Judge H. P. Branning of the Circuit Court, ordering Pdayor A. F. Miller and the Council oY the Town of Delray to reinstate Allen MacNeilly as clerk of said town, or appear before said court ®n the 28th day of July, 1915, and show cause ivhy they had not done so. Motion by L. H. Bradshaw, seconded by W. W. d 0 a Blackmer, That Attorney, R. S. Yeomans b-8 retained to represent the Tdayor and C®uncil at Miami, on the 28th day of July, 1915, before Judge H. P. Branning, in the mandamus proceedings instituted by Allen MacNeilly. Carried. President w. ~J. Blackrmer resumes the chair. An Ordinance prescribing the compensation of Tax Collector and idarshal; Providing for the Q Appointment of a Policeman and providing compensation of said Policeman, was presented by H. J._ Sterling. Motion by H. J. Sterling, seconded by L. H. Bradshaw, That the Ordinance be placed on ite first reading by title only. Carried. Motion by li. J. Sterling, seconded by L. H. Bradshaw, That the resignation of J. M. Balker ' as Town Marshal be placed on file for the next regular i meeting. Carried. Motion by L. H. Bradshaw, seconded by H. J.
