Sterling, S. r:. U'L"eal and -'~.assnal J. P. i2amsey. Absent J. H. Cason, Jr. and Z. H. Bradshaw.. i The minutes of .the previous meeting were read and approved. Communication from Gordor.~i. Broome relatide i to the bTaeNeilly commissions on notes to the amount of x"140.59 was read. Motion by H. J. Sterling,-.seconded by S. E. Gruber representing the :`lest Palm Beach Telephone Company addressed the council in regard to changing t;he form of their ccntract for free telephone . service to the city. lifter reading the new proposed contract, s motion was made by tT. J. Sterling and seconded by S. T. U'T1eal that the matter be laid over until. the first regular meeting in October. Carried. The petition of 1~ir. Hawker asking for electricity for ironing purposes-was laid on the table not having the required number of signers. The bills for the past month were read by r the Clerk. Motion by L. H. Bradshaw, seconded by S. i•;. C'Neal, That all bills be refereed to the finance committee. Carried. Motion by H. J. Sterling, seconded by S. is'. O'Neal, that the bills be referred back to the council. Carried. notion by L. H. Bradshan, seconded by S. is. O'Neal that all bills be paid as allowed. Carried. The following resolution was presented: Resolved that the marshal be, allowed a fee of 2C cents each for notifying members of the Council of any special meeting of the Council called by the mayor.
