10-07-15 SpecialOet. 7, 1915. Speeiel meeting called by Mayor A. F. Miller for the purpose of qualifying the newly elected offioers was called to order by Pres. W. W. Blackmer, with the following members present: J. R. Cason, Jr., H. J. Sterling, W. W. Blackmer. Absent, S. E. O'Neal and L. H. Bradshaw. Mayor's Call was read as follows: To the Honorable Town Council of the Town of '! Delray in the 3t ate of Florida: By authority vested in me by the Charter of the Town of Delray, I hereby t Call a special meeting oP the Town Council to meet at tote Town Hall, on the 7th day of October, at 7:30 P. M., 1915, for the purpose of qualifying tie new I Town Officers of Delray who were elected on the 5th day of October, A. D. 1915, and to reorganize the new Town Council, in accordanoe with Section 37 on page 327 of the charter of Delray. L. H. Bradshaw, present. Boe~d prooeeded to examine the contents of the ballot box and checked up candidates Por mayor. It was found that for ' -4 Mayor J. M. Cromer had 34 votes f R. 3. Yeomans 30 votes Council J. A. 2eder 55 votes " A. F. Miller 54 votes G. J. StrBokland 42 votes Council J. L. Chatfield 21 votes " Frank Crego 11 " " J. J. Schabinger 10 " " A. D. Burk 9 " Clerk w. A. Brennan 58 " " 9V. w. Blackmer 12 " li Marshal,J. w. Ramsey 52 " " J. P1. Roth 19 " J. M. Cromer, J. A. Zeder, A. F. Miller, G. J. Strickland, W. A Brennan and J. W. Ramsey were declared elected. Mayor Miller administered the oath of offioe to J. M. Cromer. Mayor Cromer then admin- istered the oath of office to W. A. Brennan as clerk J. w. Ramsey as marehai and to J. A. Zeder, G. J. Strickland and A. F. Miller as councilmen. Motion by J. R. Cason, Jr., seconded by L. H. Bradshaw, That the old board now adjourn. i I Carried. New oouncil was then called to order by Mayor J. M. Cromer with the following members present: G. J. Strickland, J. A. Zeder, OP. VP. Bleokmer, A. F. Miller and H. J. Sterling. The council then proceeded to elect a president. The names of G. J. Strickland and A. F. Miller were placed in nomination. the nominations were closed. The council prooeeded to vote by ballot. On counting the ballots it was found that A. F. Miller had four votes and G. J. Strickland one. A. F. Miller '', was declared elected. G. J. Strickland was elected president pro tem. by acclimation. Motion by W. W. Blacluner, seconded by J. A.
