AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF ~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE 245, BOOK 4,
BEING AN ORDINANCE FIXING OCCUPATIONAL TAXES AND LICENSES
TO BE CHARGED VARIOUS PERSONS, FIRM~ OR CORPORATIONS EN-
GAGED IN OR MANAGING ANY BUSINESS, PRO--ION OR OCCUPATION
IN THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA.
~REAS an e~ergency exists in the Oity of Delray Beach,
Florida, due to the fact that the occupational license charged
certain classes of peddlers is inadequate and it is necessary
for the iw~ediate preservation of public peace, property,
health er safety, or for the daily operation of a nmmicipal
department that this ordinance be passed as an emergency ordi-
nance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of
the City of Delray Beach, Florida, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 174 of Ordinance 245, Book 4,
being au ordinance of the City Council of the City of Delray
Beach, Florida, fixing occupational taxes and licenses to be
charged the various persons, firms, or corporations engaged
in or managing any business, profession, or occupation in the
City of Delray Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"174. All peddlers who are not producers of the products
they offer for sale, and who peddle from house to house the
products of the farm, grove, or water, except those who operate
a regularly established place of business in the City of Delray
Beach, Florida, and pay an occupational license therefor, shall
pay a license tax per day of · · . · · · .... $10.00."
Section 2. This is an emergency ordinance and shall take
effect upon its adoption on its first rSading.
