Meeting wad called to order at 8 oclock by President J. R. Cason J~.si~ Roll Call showed the following member9 pre®ent; J. R. Cason Jr. T . 1~4. 3,Sa$ae L. H. Bradshaw J. G• Fenno 6. J. Strickland Absent, None. Tho minutes of the ~'resious meeting were read and approved. The Clerk was then instruct©d to open th® Ballot Boa, after which the Prse~.c~~nt of th® Council, J. R. Cason Jr. assisted by Alderman McRae in the pE®sence of the rest of the Councilmen proceeded to camas the r®turna. ~Sotion by I4r. McRae and meconded by ISr. Fenno that the r returns submitted by the Inspectors be recorded in full. Carried. Inspectors report as follows: For Iiayor . J. 3d. Cromer 47 A. F. Yeomsns -Attorney presented the following petition to the City Council: ~ ~, k °~: _,;i .] a To the Honorable Common Council of the Town of Delray: And now comes Raymond S. Yeomans, Attorney for W. W. Blaclaner and various voters and Tax Payers of the Town of Delray and Says: ' (1) 'ghat an election was held in the Town of Delray on the Oct. 6th 1914. (?) That the lection Officers of Said 1lection filed certain allege return^ of .said election and now the said Raymond S. Yeomans protests that said i;lsction was fraudulent and void and petitions that acid Council do declare. Signeds Raymond S. Yeomans. Attorney. Delray Florida Oct. 9, 1914. The question of Proceedure was then thoroughly discussed by members of Council and others. After which President of the Council requested Attorney Yeomans to prepare his complaint in writing and set forth his allegations ao that the Council would hase some basis to work from and present same to President Cason by one oclook Sat. Uct. 10th 1914. Councilman-elect Blackmer then addressed the ?4seting and said that he did not want to be sworn into offios until the question of the legality of the election was settled. Councilman- sleet Bell also made the same statement. Councilman MoRae then made the statement that all officers must be sworn 3n within three days aftea the election. After a discussion of this question the newly elected 9ldermen consented to be sworn into office. i ~'[ v Clerk Allan McNeilly then administered the oath oP offios to A. F. Miller as Mayor for the Town of Delray, Florida. A. F. Miller, ASayor then administered the oath of office to W. W. Blackmer W. EanHell as Aldermen and A. MaoNeilly as Clerk and J. M. Walker as Marshall r:~ President J. R. Cason Jr. then appointed himself and Mayor Miller a committee to go to Weat Palm Heaoh to oonsult with City Attorney R. L. Bussey in regard to the prote®t filed by Attorney Yeomans and action to be taken on same,
