Ord 208-38 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, FIXING THE SALARIES TO BE PAID THE NDiYOR AND THE ~EMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; aND DECLARING aN E~ERGFJ~CY TO EXIST; AND aPPROPRIATING MONEY FOR THE PAYmeNT OF SAL~RIES; AND RE- PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINaNCE, ~D PROVIDING FOR SAID ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT I~EDIATELY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, deems it expedient and necessary that the salaries to be paid the ~ayor and members of the City Council, shall be increased from Twenty Dollars ($~0.00) per month, to Thirty Dollars ($~0.00) per month, and this being an ordinance appro- priating money, and is authorized to be passed as an emergency measure under Section 3~ of the Charter Act of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, Now, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Delray Beach Florida, shall draw a salary of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month for his services,as Mayor~ and Oity Councilman. each~%~r of the City Council shall SECTION T~zat draw a salary of $~0.00 per month each, for their services as City Councilmen. SECTION ~. That this ordinance s~all become effec-, tive as of January l, 1~8. SECTION ~. That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. PASSED by ~e City Council of t~e City of Delray Beach, Florida at its regular session sitting on this 10th day of January, a. D. 1938, by the following vote: Foote, pass Hall, yes ; Hill, yes ; GW~Ynn yes , and Wodischek, yes ; the same being a four-fifths vote, thereby allowing this ordinance to be effective immediately, as an amergency measure. ~i~Mayor, a~d~esi~nt of Council.
