Ord 130-34 AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELi{AY B~,~t, FLORIDA, PRESCRIBING THAT CERTAIN ~AxES LEVIED BE PAID IN CASH, AND PRESCRIBING THAT CERTAIN OTHER DELINQUENT TAXES BE PAID IN BONDS OF SAID CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOM~E EFFECTIVE II,MEDIATELY UPON ITS PASSAGE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF DELI{AY BEACH: Section 1. That on and after the passage of this ordinance the Tax Collector of said City is authorized and directed to accept tax payments as follows: The 'taxes levied for the fiscal year 193~-19~3, and for the fiscal year 1933-1934, and for the fiscal year 1934-1935, shall be paid in lawi%xl money of the United States; but if and when all taxes for said fiscal years of 193~-1933, 19~3-1934 and 1934-1~5 5 shall have been fully paid in cash upon and as to any p~rcel of real estate located in the former city of Delray, then and in such event the delinquent taxes on such parcel of real estate due and owing said City of Delray Beach for the fiscal year 1931-19~Z may be paid in bonds issued by the former City of Delray on the basis of two dollars ($E.O0) in par value of the principal of such bonds for one dollar ($1.00) of such delinquent taxes for th year 1931-1932, ami the delinquent taxes on such property located in the former City of Delray due and owing said Oity for the fiscal year 1930-1931 and all prior years may be paid in bonds issued by the former City of Delray on the basis of one dollar ($1.00) in par value of the principal of such bonds for one dollar ($1.00) of delinquent taxes for the fiscal year 1950-1931 e~A aL1 prior fiscal years; and that all bonds accepted for taxes &W he~einabove provided shall be bonds issued by the former City ef Delray, and that such bonds shall be delivered and surrendered with all co~pons attached, except those coupons which have here- ..... ~~en paid and cancelled; l~rovided, however, that (1) no coupons or interest claims ~hall be accepted in payment or cancellation of any delinquent 'taxes; ~(2) all bonds and coupons so delivered and surrendered fer taxes, as prescribed herein, shall be marked paid and cancel- l~d by the Clerk forthwith; and (3) that no bonds of the former of Delray may be accepted in payment of delinquent taxes due or Owl~ on property in the former Town of Delray Beach. Section 2. That no bonds of the former City .of ~elray may ,~e ~eeepted in payment of delinquent taxes of any kind under this ~t~[i~anee or otherwise after the first day of January, 1935. Section 3. Be it ftxrther ordained that all ordinances and ~eolutlons in conflict with this ordinance, be and the same are hereby reps sled · Section 4.
