Ord 112-34 AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY C0UNCIT. OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, PRESCRIBING TM~T CERTAIN TAXES L~FIED RE PAID IN CASH, AND PRESCRIBING THAT CERTAIN OTHER DELINQUENT TAXES BE PAID IN BONDS OF SAID CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA. :.:~::'.' ~E IT ORDAINEd) BY TEE CITY CC~NCIT. OF THE CITY OF DELRAY · BEACH: Section 1. That on and after the passage of this ordinance the Tax Collector of said City is authorized and directed to accept tax payments as follows: The taxes levied for the fiscal year 193£-1933 and of the United States; but if and when all taxes for said fls- ~!.,:~ cal years of 193P.-19~3 and 1993-1934 shall have been fully paid j~.....~ in cash upon and as to any parcel of real estate located in' the former City of Delray, then and in such event the delinquent taxes on such parcel of real estate due and owing said City of Delray Beach for the fiscal year 1931-193E may be paid in bonds i issued by the former City of Delray on the basis of two dollars · i ..: ($~.00} in par value of the principal of such bonds for one ~:'!:. : dollar ($1.00) of such delinquent taxes for the year 1931-19~, and the delinquent taxes on such property located in the former .:,, .:~.., City of Delray due and owing said City for the fiscal year 19~0-1931 and all prior years may be paid in bonds issued by the former City of Delray on the basis of one dollar ($1.00) in par value of the pr£n. clpal of ~uch bonds for one dollar ($1.00) of delinquent taxes for the fiscal year 1930-19~1 and all prior fiscal years; and that all bonds accepted for taxes as hereinabove pro- Tided 8hall be bonds issued by the former City of Delray, and that such bonds shall be delivered and surrendered with all coupons attached, except those coupons which have heretofore been paid and oanoelled'; Provided, however, that (1) no coupons or interest- claims shall be accepted in payment or cancellation of any delinquent taxes; (2} all bonds and coupons so delivered and surrendered for taxes, as prescribed herein, shall be marked paid and cancelled by the Clerk forthwith; and (3) that no bonds of the former City of Delray may be accepted in payment of delinquent taxes due or owing on property in the former Town of Delray Beach. Section 2. That no bonds of the former City of Delray may be accepted in payment of delinquent taxes of any kind under this ordinance or otherwise after the 1st day of July, 1934.
