07-11-83SpMtg JULY 11, 1983 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Willard V. Young in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 4:00 P.M., Monday, July ll, 1983. Roll call showed: Present - Council Member Doak S. Campbell Council Member Arthur Jackel Council Member Edward L. Perry Mayor Willard V. Young Absent - Council Member Malcolm T. Bird Also present were - Acting City Manager Elizabeth Arnau and City Attorney Herbert W.A. Thiele. Mayor Young called the meeting to order and announced that this meeting has been called for the purpose of (1) considering passage of Resolution No. 70-83 supporting Dorothy Wilken's request re: reserve annexation areas and (2) review of additional resumes for City Manager. (1) The Acting City Manager presented Resolution No. 70-83: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH TO PALM BEACH COUNTY COMMISSIONER DOROTHY WILKEN, EXPRESSING A DESIRE TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTES SECTION 163.3171(1), AND DIRECTING THAT STAFF LEVEL MEETINGS CONTINUE. (Copy of Resolution No. 70-83 is on file in the official Resolution Book) Mr. Jackel moved for the adoption of Resolution No. 70-83, seconded by Mr. Perry. Upon roll call Council voted as follows: Mr. Campbell - Yes; Mr. Jackel - Yes; Mr. Perry - Yes; Mayor Young - Yes. Said motion passed with a 4 to 0 vote. (2) Mayor Young stated that this item was on the agenda to review additional resumes; there being none this item will be stricken from the meeting. Mayor Young declared the meeting adjourned at 4:05 P.M.
