09-28-82SpMtg SEPTEMBER 28, 1982 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, was called to order by Vice-Mayor Pro Tempore Leo Blair in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 11:50 A.M., Tuesday, September 28, 1982. 1. Roll call showed: Present - Council Member Leo A. Blair Council Member Arthur Jackel Council Member Edward L. Perry Absent - Council Member Malcolm T. Bird Mayor Willard V. Young Also present were - City Manager Gordon D. Tiffany, and City Attorney Herbert W.A. Thiele. Mr. Blair called the meeting to order and announced that this meeting has been called for the purpose of considering (1) accept- ance of the bids for sale of a 1978 - 30' Wellcraft Vessel. The City Attorney reported that the high bid in the amount of $13,000.00 was made by Mr. Lawrence R. Shortz, 1890 S. Conference Drive, Boca Raton, Florida. The City Manager recommends acceptance of that bid and if it is acceptable to City Council, the closing will be held at 2:00 P.M. tomorrow. Mr. Perry moved for acceptance of the $13,000.00 bid for the 1978 - 30' Wellcraft Vessel, seconded by Mr. Jackel. Said motion passed unanimously. Mr. Blair declared the meeting adjourned at 11:53 A.M.
