A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, was held in the Council Chambers at 12:15 A.M., Thursday, Sep-
tember 17, 1981, with Vice-Mayor James H. Scheifley presiding and City
Manager J. Eldon Mariott, Assistant City Attorney Herbert W.A. Thiele,
and Council members Charlotte G. Durante and Leo A. Blair, present. Mayor
Leon M. Weekes and Council member Malcolm T. Bird were absent.
Vice-Mayor Scheifley called the meeting to order and announced that
this meeting has been called for the purpose of considering. (!! acceptance
of the bids for sale of a 1980 - 27' Topaz vessel; 'and (2) acceptance of
~he bids for sale of a 1979 - 31' Ocean Master Vessel.
Mr. Jim Graham, Auctioneer, reported that there were about 25
~egistered bidders who deposited cashiers~checks. The Topaz Vessel broUght
~25,500 and the Ocean Master Vessel brought $24,500. The City Manager
~tated that it is recommended that City Council approve the sale of the two
vessels; as follows:

Mrs. Durante moved to approve the sale of the two vessels at the
price reported, seconded by Mr. Blair. Upon roll call Council voted as
follows: Mrs. Durante - Yes; Mr. Blair - Yes; Vice-Mayor Scheifley - Yes.
Said motion passed with a 3 to 0 vote.
Vice-Mayor Scheifley declared the meeting adjourned at 12:20 P.M.
