Acting Oity Manager Worthi~g ~ecommended that said b~ds be

meeting on December 13th, if it is the desire of the Council. It WaS

City Attorney Ad~s asked how~the rock excavate!on woul~ be handled,
if it woul6 go back to the basic con~ra~t. ~. Te~t answered:
"No
rock excavation is i~cl~d. ~s~ .y~ ~ow, we won't ~ow exactly
how much rock we will be ~inte.'~unt~il ~ get~ there; however, ~hese
service line "crossings Will ~e V~ry s~iow as C~mpared with the main
sewer line~ Which is arodnd if~e~t ~.~p. ~We have seen all the rock
in there ~d poSsibly w~maY~ha~e~..sb~e; ~how~ver, it is h~d to
extimate. I believe ~he c0nt~actor bid a very low ~rice fo~
e~avation. I doubt if It ~ouId'be ~ore ~ a few_doll,s, if ~y-

outlined. The motion was seconded by M~. Croft and unanimously
carried.
Acting City Manager Worthing presented an application from the
Dltl General Store on N. E. 2nd Avenue~ for a license to sell beer
a~d' Wine, ,'comS~W~tion off the premises, in oonJunot~n..~ith' ~he
operation of their store l-further, the applicant has Been.investigated
by the usual investigating age~e, ies, including the'~State Beverage
Department, and approved by all, therefore, it is ~eeommended that
this application be g~nted. ·
M~. Croft reeved for approval of said application, the motion
being seconded .by ~, ~ur~ey-and unanimously carried.
Acting City Manager Worthing repo~te~d to Council as follows:
"The time element does enter into this --and I regret that I have not
been able to ge~ copies tO-you gentlemen.. The First National Bank
desires to build a. second stePy over the eaSt-west aIl~y~ Be~weefl the
First National.Bank-and the Drive-in geIle~ windows dow~ .on
3rd Avenue. Back in' 1959, the then City Council approved that Bridge
and walkway up over this alley, which will be in the center of these
two planned second floo~s'. ~t is recommended that Council
the iss.uanc~e of~ a building per~ait which wOUld allow the conStruction
of the' .second. floor over: that alley, to Which you~ present City ,,
