A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PARCEL OF LAND LYING IN SECTIONS
13 AND 24, TOWNSHIP 46 SOUTH, RANGE 42 EAST;
SAID PARCEL BEING DESCRIBED FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF FOREST ROAD,
AS RECORDED IN OFFICIAL RECORD BOOK 1181,
PAGES 552 AND 553, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN ,
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Sherwood Park Golf. Inc., a Florida corpora-
tion, is the fee-simple owner of the East Half,of the Southeast
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter lying South of the south
,right-of-way line of Delray West Road (State Road No. 806) and
the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter'of the Southwest
Quarter and the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of the South,
east Quarter lying South of the South right-of-way line of Delray
West Road (State Road No. 806), less the-right-of-way of Forest
Road as conveyed to the State of Florida by deed recorded in
Official Record Book 1181, Page 552; all in Section 13, Township
46 So~th, Range 42 East, Palm Beach County, Florida; and the
North 334.0 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest
· Quarter, less the right-of-way of the Lake Worth Drainage Dis-'
trict, and the North 334.0 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, less the right-of-way
of Forest Road as conveyed to the State ,of Florida by deed
recorded in Official Record Book 1181, Page 552, and less the
right-of-way of the Lake Worth Drainage District: all in Section
24, Township 46 South, Range 42 East, Palm Beach County, Florida:
together with the South 190 feet of the North 524 feet of the
Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, Town-
ship 46 South, Range 42 East: together with the South 190 feet of
the North 524 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 24, Township 46
South, Range 42 East, less the East 100 feet thereof: and,
WHEREAS, Marvin L. Sanders, as duly authorized Agent
for Sherwood Park Golf, Inc., a Florida corporation, has made
application for abandonment of a parcel of land lying in Sections
13 and 24. Township 46 South, Range 42 East: said parcel being
described for the purpose of abandonment of a portion of Forest
Road, as recorded in Official Record Book 1181, PAges 552 and
553, of the Public Records of Palm Beach County. Florida: and,
WHEREAS, by virtue of "Right-Of-Way Deed", as in
Official Record Book 1181, Pages 552 and 553, executed between
Delray Homes Ltd. and the County of Palm Beach on March 22, 1965,
the dedication for Forest Road came totally from the property
which comprises the Sherwood Golf Course and said right-of-way is
to revert to that property in its entirety upon abandonment; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Delray
Beach, Florida, finds that its interest in the described property
is no longer needed for the public good and deems it to be in the
best interests of the City of Delray Beach to vacate and abandon
said portion of Forest Road lying within Sections 13 and 24,
Township 46 South, Range 42 East. Palm Beach County, Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
~ That pursuant to Chapter 177, Section
177.101(5) and Chapter 166 of the Florida Statutes, it is hereby
determined to vacate and abandon all right and interest it holds
to the following described real property:
A parcel of land lying in Sections 13 and 24,
Township 46 South, Range 42 East; said parcel
being described for the purpose of
abandonment of a portion of Forest Road, as
recorded in Official Record Book 1181, Pages
552 and 553, Public Records of Palm Beach
County, Florida; said parcel being, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the
Southeast One Quarter (SE 1/4) of said
Section 13; thence North 89 degrees 58' 23"
East along the South line of Section 13, a
distance of 5?4.24-feet to a point along the
existing Westerly right-of-way line of Forest
Road; said point also being the Point of
Beginning of the parcel to be herein de-
scribed: thence North O0 degrees 08' 10" West
along said Westerly right-of-way line of
State Road 806 CWest Atlantic Avenue, Road
Plat Book 3, Page 27); thence North 89
degrees 47' 48" East along said Southerly
right-of-way line, a distance of 100.00 feet;
thence South O0 degrees 22' 08" East along
the existing Easterly right-of-way line, a
distance of 1,352.84 feet; thence South O0
degrees 58' 13" East along said Easterly
right-of-way line, a distance of 524.07 feet:
thence South 89 degrees 58' 32" West, a
distance of 100.00 feet to a point along the
existing Westerly right-of-way lin~ of Forest
Road; thence North O0 degrees 58' 13" West
along said Westerly right-of-way line, a
distance of 649.60 feet to the aforementioned'
Point of Beginning.
Containing 4.31 acres, more or less.

fifteen (15) days after passage.
